Honestly, I think C4 is undisputed as the best lethal in the game due to its utility (BOO!) but I would love to make a stand for what I think sits secretly at a cushy second place and is #1 in my heart: the Throwing Knife.
Let me start with where the Throwing Knife shines best:
EXECUTING DOWNED ENEMIES
The Throwing Knife is the ultimate coup de grace in Warzone, and I am not exaggerating. Once an enemy is down, the Throwing Knife dispatches them quickly and silently with a 1 hit kill. At close range it is ridiculously easy to hit and retrieve the knife from downed enemies as they hopelessly attempt to crawl away. Use this to your advantage to secure kills without wasting any time and resources, allowing you to focus your efforts on their teamates instead. "Dead Men Tell No Tales," killing downed enemies faster gives them less time to mark you for their teamates or relay other information.
YOUR WEAPON MELEE TURNS INTO A KNIFE MELEE
When a Throwing Knife is in your inventory it automatically changes your character's usual weapon melee into the more damaging, knife melee. The knife melee kills unarmoured enemies in 1 hit and fully armoured enemies in 2. It can also be used to execute downed enemies instantly, with the benefit keeping your Throwing Knife safe in your inventory.
IT DOES A LOT OF DAMAGE
If you manage to hit someone with a Throwing Knife, they aren't going to be too happy about it. The Throwing Knife can drop a player instantly when they have 1 armor or less. A good throw can chunk an enemy's health and two will send them to the ground. It only takes 1 Throwing Knife to kill someone landing from the airship or the gulag (They only have 1 armour).
THE HAIL MARY
Ever have this happen to you? You are trading shots with an opponent right in front of you, you run out of ammo and you know you are going to die before you can reload or switch weapons. Instead of hopelessly accepting your fate, I emplore you to attempt to cheat death and perform a hail mary knife throw. No easy task under pressure, but if your aim rings true you may just escape with your life!
IT'S SATISFYING AF
There is nothing in this game quite like hitting someone with a knife. It's satisfying AF.
There is a kind of beauty in the way it silently and gracefully lobs through the air moments before awarding you with a delightful *shink* coupled with the "Ahghh!" of your fallen foe. I swear you can taste the fear in the air emanating from nearby players who bear witness to this horror-movie-esque display.
Hitting targets requires movement tracking and prediction, while also accounting for gravity which is no easy task. I believe the high skill/ high reward nature of this weapon is one of the main reasons this weapon feels so satisfying to use.
BRINGING A KNIFE TO A GUN FIGHT
So the Throwing Knife is awesome, but can it compete with a bullet?
In a straightfoward exchange in which both players have full armour and land their shots effectively, the knife user will unfortunately be left dead in the street.
Try to avoid that.
The Throwing Knife excels when used creatively or from the shadows.
You can use it to finish downed enemies, throw it in a spot that you know someone is about to walk through, lob it over objects at enemies hiding on the other side (silmilar to C4), get funky with it! The Throwing Knife can also be used to engage multiple targets without alerting them all immediately to your presence, such as you would with gunfire. Silent and extremely difficult to see, distracted or unobservant enemies are often unaware that you are even trying to kill them until it is too late.

ADDITIONAL PROTIPS
• Holding the button down raises your Throwing Knife, releasing the button throws it.
• Change weapons while holding the Throwing Knife to put it away instead of throwing.
• You can retrieve the knife from downed enemies or wherever you threw it last.
• Dedicate time to practice your Knife aim against bots or against real players on a small level like "Shipment".
• Use the "Shrapnel" perk to spawn with a second knife and the "Restock" perk to replenish knives over time.
CONS
• Glitchyness means sometimes you can't retrieve the knife from the environment.
• It isn't C4, which is able to destroy vehicles (a great ulitity) and attack people around corners more effectively (another great utility).
• The Flaming Throwing Knife doesnt stack with regular Thowing Knives, which makes Flaming Knives not worth carrying in Warzone (over regular knives) because they are less common in random drops.
